Today was one of the most interressting day's that i've had so far at Sondela. At class we had a debrieve about what is going to happen tonight...we went out with the bakkie at about 18:00 and waited for the plane to come spray the birds. While we were waiting we talked about what their natural habits are, how many eggs they can lay, how many months's they are fully grown ect.
There is allot of rules conserving the story: *Everybody must chase away anything that doesn't look like a bird.*Must avacuate the area so other animals can't die of the poison.*Their are flairs (can's with diesel) put all over were the birds are breeding. *The poison are 4-10 litres per hektar and their needs to be 48 hektars sprayed.
The Red Billed Queleas is a pess to farmers, because they are eating al their gran up...They decided to poisen the birds so that they can't do it anymore!
We had to watch out for dangerous species like bull frogs, cattle eagrit ect. They can eat the birds and die of the poison so allot of other animals are going to die.
We give the endangered species that got some of the poison Antropeen it helps to fight the poison...it gets allot better but might take a few days to get the poison out.
We looked at Medcare, security, a fire vehichle in case their starts a fire in the bush of the cans of diesel.

Next Morning
We woke up at 03:00 in the morning, riding to the academy almost got attacked by Blue Wildebeest it was quite funny. We came at the boy's house dranked a cup of coffee and was on our way into the bush with the Tata. We came their and Cobus told us to devide into seperate groups to everybody can scare away the endangered animals. I was with Kelvin and Eddy, the whole way we were on search for snakes, but got nothing so we found our way back to the Tata. Lydon, PG and Antonette founded a puffadder lying in the bush.
